Recognized internationally for playing guitar in psych pop band HOLY, Nora Karlsson was inclined to share her creativity in a new light. Under the name Boys, Karlsson released rock-pop debut LP Rest in Peace Friday, May 11, 2018 via Punk Slime Recordings.

Boys' Rest in Peace
The lo-fi, indie jangle pop currently trending in the states made its way over waters and into Stockholm. Following singles with glimpses into the past 5 years of her life, Nora Karlsson premiered her first Boys LP at the ripe age of 22. Rest in Peace is Karlsson's sentimental presentation of personal development, with tracks such as "That Weekend" showing the Swedish artist's potential.
The album's introduced with synth-filled dance track "It Is Silly", conveying a story about a crush through its bubbly tones and lyricism. Karlsson's hypnotizing vocals are highlighted in "Hemtjänsten", with strategic production causing listeners to envision her voice echoing through the largest room imaginable.
Ambient, surf rock is found next in "Rabbits", telling a story about infatuation. "End of Time" emphasizes Boys infusing trance styles with pop. Indie rock prevails in "Love Isn't on My Mind", with instruments reminiscent to that of Detroit act Hala.
More than halfway through the album, uplifting track "That Weekend" reels listeners back in. "What If You Would Die" has Boys tipping their hat to HOLY, with psychedelic tones conveying positivity while the lyricism dives deeper. Wrapping Rest in Peace with the comfort yet dramatic song "My Baby", the simplicity and introspection Boys harnesses takes noisy rock-pop to new lengths in Europe.
Boys is touring with La Luz in Europe and has vinyl available! Stay tuned with this Swedish act below!
